Teachers Guides

Opera York Teacher/Student Guide: A resource guide is provided to each school attending "Opera for Schools/L'opéra pour les écoles" performances. Materials include classroom strategies, elements of music, opera history and opera resources for teachers. The companion CD - Opera York presents - "Great Canadian Opera Performances" is included in the Resource Kit and offers Canadian artists and orchestral performances to prepare students for the concert. This CD was prepared in partnership with CBC Records.  Teacher/Student Guides are available in French and English.

The Teacher/Students Resource Guide was developed with the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

Opera York gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Recreation. The Foundation receives annually $100 millions in government funding generated through Ontario's charity casino initiative.
