Opera York presented its premiere concert of L’opéra pour les écoles to over 900 elementary  and secondary school students at The Newmarket Theatre on Monday February 21st.
Gisèle Fredette was ravishing as the host and was joined by Andrew Tees, James McLellan and Stacie Carmona with Angus Kellet accompanying on the piano.  The concert was sponsored by The Canadian Parents for French (York Region) which allowed the first 940 students to attend for $4.25 or half the normal price of $8.50.
